Hong Kong ocean freight forwarder refers to the person who accepts the entrustment of the cargo owner and handles the customs declaration, handover, warehousing, allocation, inspection, packaging, packing, transshipment, and booking of cargo on behalf of the cargo owner within the scope of legal authorization. 1. The freight forwarder shall go to the Container Management Department with the small bill of lading and the trailer company’s "Application for Lifting Containers" to handle the deposit procedures for the overdue usage fees, unloading fees, import document fees and other fees for imported containers.
2. If the guarantor is not the consignee indicated on the bill of lading, the guarantor needs to issue a letter of guarantee (letter of guarantee) agreeing to pledge the money for the consignee and pay the corresponding fees.
3. After the deposit is completed and authorized by the shipping agent management department, go to the import container post to go through the procedures for picking up the container, receive the container equipment handover form, and check whether the content is correct.
4. After the consignee unpacks the imported goods, return the empty container to the designated return location.
5. After the empty container is returned to the designated storage yard, the consignee must promptly present the deposit voucher to go to the container management department to settle the container fee.
